Closing out 2025

As 2025 comes to a close, one thing is clear.  Foodservice and convenience distributors are under more pressure than ever to move faster, operate leaner, and stay compliant while customer expectations continue to rise.  At ProCat Distribution Technologies, this year was focused on helping distributors meet those challenges with practical warehouse management software built for real-world operations.

From new customers and product enhancements to deeper industry engagement, 2025 was a year of meaningful progress.  This end-of-year recap highlights what we accomplished, what we learned, and how we are positioning ProCat and our customers for success in 2026.

Supporting Modern Distribution Operations in 2025

Distribution operations continue to evolve rapidly.  Labor shortages, rising costs, traceability requirements, and higher service expectations all demand better systems and better visibility. Throughout 2025, ProCat remained focused on one core mission: deliver warehouse management solutions that improve accuracy, productivity, and confidence on the warehouse floor.

Our customers rely on ProCat WMS to manage receiving, picking, inventory control, and shipping across dry, refrigerated, and frozen environments.  This year, we doubled down on making those workflows faster to execute, easier to train, and more reliable at scale.

New Customers and Expanded Relationships

One of the most rewarding parts of 2025 was welcoming new foodservice and convenience distributors to the ProCat community.  Distributors across multiple regions selected ProCat to modernize their warehouse operations, replace manual processes, and gain better real-time insight into inventory and labor performance.

We also expanded relationships with existing customers who chose to roll ProCat solutions out to additional buildings, add more modules, or deepen their use of advanced features. These expansions reinforced a key theme we saw throughout the year.  When warehouse teams have tools designed specifically for distribution, adoption is higher and results come faster.

Product Enhancements Focused on Real Warehouse Value

In 2025, ProCat delivered new software features for both convenience and foodservice distributors, with a continued emphasis on operational value rather than unnecessary complexity.

Enhancements released this year supported faster receiving, more efficient picking, improved cycle counting accuracy, and clearer exception handling.  We also continued refining mobile workflows to support modern Zebra devices, ring scanners, and vehicle-mounted solutions used on the warehouse floor.

A major area of focus was helping distributors prepare for FSMA 204 compliance.  Traceability requirements are not just a regulatory concern.  They directly impact recall readiness, customer trust, and operational risk.  ProCat’s improvements in lot tracking, data capture, and reporting helped customers move closer to compliance while strengthening day-to-day inventory control.

Industry Engagement and Customer Collaboration

In 2025, the ProCat team traveled to more than 20 industry events and met with over 50 customers in person.  These conversations remain one of our most valuable sources of insight.

Spending time in warehouses, riding along with operations leaders, and listening to frontline teams gives us a clearer picture of what actually works.  Many of the product enhancements delivered this year were directly influenced by customer feedback gathered during site visits and industry events.

These interactions also reinforced a trend we see accelerating.  Distributors want partners who understand foodservice and convenience distribution specifically, not generic warehouse software vendors.  ProCat’s focus on this niche continues to set us apart.

Measurable Results on the Warehouse Floor

While every operation is different, customers consistently reported improvements in key areas throughout 2025.  These included higher picking accuracy, faster onboarding of new warehouse employees, and greater visibility into inventory status across shifts and facilities.

For leadership teams, ProCat helped surface data that supports better decision making. For warehouse managers, it simplified daily execution.  For selectors, receivers, and inventory teams, it reduced friction and uncertainty during fast-paced shifts.

These outcomes matter because warehouse execution directly impacts customer service, labor costs, and profitability.  Technology only delivers value when it works at the speed of operations, and that principle guided our development and support efforts all year.

Strengthening the ProCat Team and Support Model

Behind every successful implementation is a strong team. In 2025, ProCat continued investing in our implementation, support, and product teams to ensure customers receive hands-on guidance and responsive service.

We refined onboarding processes, improved documentation, and strengthened cross-functional collaboration internally.  These efforts helped shorten time to value for new customers and ensured existing customers could confidently expand their use of the platform.

Preparing for 2026 and Beyond

As we look ahead to 2026, the distribution landscape will only become more demanding.  Traceability deadlines, labor challenges, and customer expectations will continue to rise. ProCat is entering the new year with a clear roadmap focused on deeper visibility, smarter workflows, and continued alignment with how distributors actually operate.

Future investments will build on the foundation laid in 2025.  This includes continued enhancements to mobile performance, reporting, and integration capabilities, as well as tools that help distributors scale without adding unnecessary overhead.
